Entrepreneurship begins with a decision not to test the waters, but to fully commit. It should not be a casual experiment or a side project to “see how it goes.” It’s a commitment to the long game. Create a commitment plan that goes beyond ambition and wishful thinking. How will you respond when the excitement fades or setbacks come? This has to be a deliberate, resilient execution. Speak about your business with conviction. If you hesitate to say, “I run a business,” without minimizing it, start there. Own it. Success isn’t reserved for those who avoid failure, but for those who refuse to quit. Readiness is a myth.

I want to leave you with a prayer that I read in Dr. Tony Evans book, “Praying through the Names of God”. This prayer speaks to surrender and hope in the creative and entrepreneurial journey. I pray and I hope that God will do exceedingly and abundantly and that all the promises that He has put on your heart would come to pass and that nothing, no chaos, no schemes of men or the enemy will come before that. And that you understand that God has the ability to put you exactly where He needs you to be for the glory of His powerful and gracious name.

“Elohim create great things for me to work in, create intersections where you merge my passions, my experiences, my skills and interests together so I can fulfill the calling you have for me. Create in my heart a purity that is peaceful and appealing to those around me. Create my destiny I pray, then guide me into it for your namesake and for your pleasure. I trust you to create my life story and to give me all I need to fully live out the path that you’ve planned for me. Thank you Elohim for being the strong creator God.”
